Comment #2 billy jean (63.176.159.179) - what exactly is YOGA? i never really got it? Comment #3 John (63.176.159.142) - The use of various "poses" (ie: putting your body into a certain position and holding it for a length of time) to result in beneficial affects for your body and mind. Comment #4 Paulie (63.176.159.231) - YOGA is a great help if you need to concentrate. Comment #5 Autumn (63.176.159.212) - i live in pa and was wondering if this mental stress stone removal is available in this area, I frequently get a lot of headaches and wonder if this would help. Comment #6 DanJake (63.176.159.87) - I had never tried Yoga myself but have heard so much about it through friends. So generally, its about seeking inner tranquility and peaces through a series of meditations and chants right? What do you think is the best form of yoga for me. I am an architect, 35 years of age, living in downtown Los Angeles. Comment #7 Liz (63.176.159.35) - Look for some local Iyegnar Yoga classes. One of the things Iyengar yoga specializes in is the use of "props" so that you can easily get into the necessary positions. Comment #8 Randy (63.176.159.3) - Does Yoga really help with a lot of different things? if so, what are some things I should try to relieve stress and free my mind? Comment #9 Lonny (63.176.159.70) - Would Yoga help me fall asleep easier at night? Comment #10 dustin (63.176.159.171) - with the stone thing, you said it has to be on skin on head.. so do you shave a spot on your head for the stone to sit? thats kinda stupid. Comment #11 Genoveva (63.176.159.134) - Yoga can do a lot of wonders to the body. If properly done and taught of by gurus then you'll find yourself one with the world. I just can't seem to figure out to why some people here at the forums don't like the idea of Yoga or questioning it. It hurts me to see these seemingly bright people prejudging the teachings of Yoga even though they haven't fully understand its principles. I suggest that if you are conscious and curious of Yoga, instead of attacking it with based-less opinion, you should try it for yourselves first. Comment #12 Wilbur Corncob from New Delhi - Because the "American Way" so many have been taught of just "popping a pill" to "cure" whatever ails you is completely opposite to the concept of "Yoga". Comment #13 Justin (63.176.159.149) - I'll have to agree with Wilbur here. The "American way of living" is set to a very fast phase. They can be quite impatient and will want a lot of things get done in a "jiffy" which can be good but in the long run, it is not. Being too dependent on dugs and certain medications would result to addiction or drug dependence which can root into a new form of problem. Comment #14 Dick (63.176.159.64) - How can stones heal a person. I think this is just a big mumbo to get you to pay for their services. These mumbo jumbo yoga thing is just injecting these thoughts and these new methods just to sell and they are just a bunch of hoax. Comment #15 Maritiu (63.176.159.24) - Y - YOU Comment #16 Shelly (63.176.159.206) - Yoga, is absolutely amazing. I wake up every morning and go for a run than after wards to "wind" down I do 30-45 minutes of yoga. It makes me feel so relaxed for the day, and it also makes me feel at peace with myself. It is "my time" of the day and helps me gather my thoughts and just take time out to think and also helps me have a good day. When I do not do yoga for a day it just makes me feel tensed and I tend to get irritated more quickly. Comment #17 Melinda (63.176.159.254) - Some stones don't heal it just worsens the the problem or even create it. Comment #18 Healo (63.176.159.250) - That is why it is called an "alternative medicine" because it is just a alternative, not a guarantee that you will feel or be healed completely. Personally, I don't think there is something wrong if you try yoga, what I don't trust are these said yoga stones or crystals which are said to promote energy healing. How can objects heal one's energy, if an energy is an invisible thing? Just my opinion, what's yours? Comment #19 Joey (63.176.159.131) - Since when do "regular" doctors give you a guarantee? The only guarantee seems to be that once you start taking 1 medicine, you need to take 2 more for the side effects... and pretty soon you are broke and better off dead! Comment #20 Decard Abel (63.176.159.86) - I am more of a fast-phase and busy individual. If I want to relax then I'll just need to go to the local massage centers and or hire a masseuse. I can also avail spa and wellness treatments then waste my time or allocate it in studying this way. You'll have the same experience without being too loyal about this discipline. I know once you get in there, it is going to be a habit, I am still enjoying a good life and the last thing I would need is religion. Comment #21 Abigay (63.176.159.218) - To Decard Abel: Comment #22 Irish (63.176.159.122) - Hi Melinda Comment #23 RJ (63.176.159.169) - The element in stone? Are you going to be busting out some crazy voodoo magic or something like that? • Page 1 (Original Post) • Page 2 (Newest Replies) •
