Hatha Yoga is one of the two branches of Yoga that focuses on the physical culture, the other one being Raja Yoga. Both of these are commonly referred to as Sadanga Yoga, i.e., Yoga of six parts ('sad' meaning six and 'anga' meaning limbs). The six limbs are described below in detail. Svatmarama emphasizes many times in his Hathapradipika text that there is no Raja Yoga without Hatha Yoga and no Hatha Yoga without Raja Yoga. The main difference is that Raja Yoga uses asanas mainly to get the body ready for prolonged meditation.

With ha meaning "sun" and tha meaning "moon, " hatha yoga is commonly translated as the yoga that brings union "of the pairs of opposites." Sometimes Hatha Yoga is also translated as the "forcefull yoga", because it seems to require the most physical excercises of all yoga types. Hatha Yoga is certainly the yoga that is the best known in the West, which is probably why so many definitions of Hatha Yoga exist.

I hope these classes are still open! Haha just kidding. I highly doubt they still are.

Plus citrus zest didn't even provide the basic essentials for his class info. Where is it? When is it? I seriously don't think a yoga class can be completed via internet connection!

Giles, the very reason citrus provided an email address is so you and others could get back to her and chart the way forward. You do not expect her to be snooping around this forum to see interested parties. Picture the number of people that have replied to her mail address.

Nonetheless, she should have expounded on her kinds of services and provided some sort of website. Give the benefit of doubt; only if you can!

Happy Yoga for those that simply ascribe to those beliefs. A couple of spots does not sound convincing at all. And interestingly, some folks have taken to educating us(unthankfully)on the different types of Yoga yet the original poster did not care to do that.

Someone convince me to do Yoga..please. This 'teacher' does not seem to be serious about the claim.

Hatha Yoga describes any of the physical practices of yoga.

So, What is a Hatha Yoga Class Like?

If you see a class described as Hatha, it will likely be a slow-paced stretching class with some simple breathing exercises and perhaps seated meditation. This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga.

Well on how much the session would cost, i don't have any idea.

I tried doing that stretching stuff and i love the feeling afterward. I feel refreshed and revitalized. I feel like i am rebooted like a computer hehe..

Well that form of yoga that post number 12 shared to us is a pro. You must try it too and it will relieve your tired muscles and mind.

You can also make the activity as a get together idea with your friends..

I was a big loser before considering that Yoga is lame and just some weird habit of others but when I tried it personally it made a big difference. Well, you could say I am selling yoga and marketing it but I am doing this out of my enthusiast and to share to you what I have gained from it. It is true that you can find inner calmness and peace from it. Flexibility and fitness are some of the benefits one might achieve in yoga as well. so instead of detracting and arguing about Yoga, why don't you try it yourself.

Yoga classes in Trinidad wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I don't live anywhere near Jordan, neither the country nor the player, this is why I would not know very much about it.

Hahaha, maybe you got a little disoriented with what Eve is trying to say, Eve is pertaining to Jordan a place in the middle east and not Michel Jordan who used to play in the NBA. But hey wait, I think Eve is really talking about Michael Jordan.

Hmmmm.. I thought this forum is for those who are interested in yoga and why all of a sudden a post about the internet marketing services and search engine optimization?

I would like to know more about this form of yoga called hatha. How does this differ from those other kinds of yoga. Hope that anyone could post here some details regarding the matter. Thanks a lot and have a nice day.
