Is there any scientific explanation regarding that treatment or it's just a hoax. Usually eastern methods are not that good or not good at all.

I think it is just tips about attitude and how you should feel and act toward what is happening around you and not a proper therapy for sickness.

In this world of uncertainty, the last thing one needs is some new or old form of "healing" (allegedly). I have to agree with Dean here, in this present time and age we have to be based on facts and things which can be explained scientifically. There is no scientific evidence that reiki or learning reiki is effective or not. The point is why pay so much just to channel "energy" for the body to heal when you can go to a doctor and ask for medications.
